Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the two inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs. This is for a quantity of two. Now, these will allow your air springs to be installed on vehicles that have a two inch lift. And basically, the distance between your upper and lower brackets must be between 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 inches.

And the spacer itself must be the same size as your lift kit rise. This part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the two lift spacers, all the hardware necessary for installation, nice set of installation instructions. And the lift spacer will fit axle and leaf mounted air springs. Again, the application is vehicles with a two inch lift and a 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inch measurement between the upper and lower brackets.

Now, this will not fit the Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286, but it will fit the Ride-Rite model F2286 if it's manufactured after February 1st of 2006. But that should do it for the review on the two inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs..

Firestone airbags are the best. Have used on many pickups and never failed.

Worked just fine. Had to purchase because truck had rough country 3" lift, although it only had 2" blocks for rear. Spacers seemed to be great quality. Was not impressed for how long shipping took. The bags only took 2 days. And it would be nice if there was a better warning I needed spacers for my air bags. It says compatible with lifts but that was it. So when I went to install, I had to take them back off and look it up. That's when I found they made spacers. I have to add I LOVE My Firestone Air suspension. When I hooked up to trailer, truck dropped 7"s. With airbags and 45lbs of air, dropped 2"s and ride was smooth.

After a year, bags still work just as well as they did the 1st day. So far I still havent had any air leaks or blessing off. It stays where I put it. I have a half tone truck. I just hauled 1 12 ton of top soil with 60lb of air and truck rode level. Even the guy on the loader complemented suspension. Next I would like to add controls from the cab or my phone so I dont have to use the air hose every time to change it.

Won't fit the GMC 2023 LZ0 Diesel!! I had the Ride-Rites on my 2013 Tacoma, and they worked great! I recently purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 with the DuraMax 3.0 Turbo diesel LZ0 engine. The air bag kit F2609 does not fit this vehicle, even though Firestones WEB site indicated it did. The problem is the upper bracket and airbag contact the exhaust pipe. After calling Firestone, the product specialist knew of this information and are now updating their WEB site. After etrailer confirmed my findings with Firestone about this issue, everything will be returned, and they too will update their WEB site too :(

I'm giving etrailer's Customer Support 5 stars, and Firestone -20 stars for not keeping their WEB site current and knowing about this issue!

by:

The spacers are very strong and fit well. The only thing keeping from 5 stars is it is very difficult to get to the bolt inside to attach the airbag.

by:

your website states a Chevy 1500 with a z71 package requires these spacers. I went through the trouble putting them on and it caused my truck to bottom out on the smallest of bumps. I had to take them off. you should update your website. These will be returned soon.

by:

After a year of use including 3 months in Alaska, these Air helper springs have worked flawlessly. They give me just enough lift to level out my truck with over 800lbs of trailer tongue weight and 500lbs in the bed. I have individual adjustments on my Ride-rites and I haven't needed to make the pressure different from side to side. I'm now considering adding an adjustable air system that can be operated from inside the truck.

by:

I just finished the installation of the air springs and spacers. All the parts were there, the instructions were easy to follow and all went well. I look forward to hooking up the fifth wheel or loading up with firewood. Thanks for the excellent service and the additional help answering my questions about the spacer kit to accommodate the lift on my truck.

The air bags are holding up well with no problems.

by:

These spacers were the reason I chose Firestone Ride Rite over ReadyAir air helper springs, which would have required removal of my overload leaf springs. With the spacers that match my rear lift block spacers, it is a very easy installation.

by:

Top notch customer service! And product performs flawlessly time after time with 5k payload on spacers and airbags!! Couldn't be Happier Thank you ETRAILER!!!

by:

Etrailer was really helpful in finding the right product for me. The blocks installed easily and worked really welll

by:

Exactly what I ordered with super fast shipping. Can't wait for my extension brackets to come in and install it on my truck

by:

I ordered the air bag extensions and they are still solid and working as they should. I got them on time no hassle at all.

by:

These spacers were just what I needed after I modified the suspension on my old Chevy pickup. I bagged and 4 linked the rear but it was just a little too low, using these spacers got my ride height where it needed to be.

by:

Quality part and quick delivery. I’ll definitely be ordering from etrailer.com again.

by:

These worked great for use on my lifted truck.

Worked great on my AT4

by:

I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 and these were not needed. When installed, the bags were fully compressed and didn't give the required 5.5" of travel.

by:

worked good , a little hard to get a wrench on air bag bolt . but did as advertised.

  • Will Firestone F2582 Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Change Ride Height of 2019 Ford F-150
At the 5psi minimum recommended by Firestone, installing their # F2582 Ride-Rite kit will not change your existing ride height, as long as your suspension isn't worn and is in good working order. If the suspension is worn, it could slightly raise the ride height. Also, you might need a lift spacer depending on how much lift has been added. If the lift is less than 1-1/2 inches, you won't need a lift spacer, according to Firestone. If the lift is greater than 1-1/2 inches, you will need...

  • Will The Firestone Air Bags F2709 Fit A 2024 GMC 2500 AT4X With Factory Suspension Lift?
Hey Tim, the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709 will indeed fit your 2024 GMC 2500 AT4X with a factory suspension lift. You will likely need to use a spacer kit to compensate for the lift, depending on the amount of lift. For example, the Lift Spacers # F2366 are for vehicles with a 2" lift and with 7.5" to 8.5" between upper and lower brackets. Based on what I could find online the AT4X has a 1.5" factory lift, meaning the # F2366 will be exactly what...

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. Hello Jeremy, thanks for reaching out. You are on the right track with the Air Lift # AL88388 and Firestone # F2609 being the correct options for your 2020 GMC Sierra AT4. Since your truck has an additional 2" lift on top of the AT4 stock lift, you will need an additional spacer regardless of which kit you go with. Hey Brent, thanks for reaching out! I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2609 for your 2025 Silverado 1500 ZR2. The Firestone brand has the most reliable air bags in the business and they use a crump-rolled seal at the top and bottom plates which makes them much more durable than most of air bag kits. Since you have the ZR2 package you'll also need to install the 2" Lift Kit # F2366 in order for it to fit correctly. Were you interested in an air compressor kit as...
